Programming Tools
- Assembler:
NASM 0.94 is
the proposed assembler for both real mode and protected mode.
- Compilers:
GCC 2.7.2 is decided for the protected
mode C/C++ compiler. The initial platform is as yet undecided, however,
as soon as it is possible the version for Win32 will be used.
There is as yet no decided compiler for real mode. There may never be one.
- Other tools:
Any of the GNU tools could be used since they have all been ported to Win32.
